A new chapter

So.....we have been back in Holland for five months now! It feels very different from the first time we moved back. It was great coming home into our own house, the garden still in bloom and beautiful, warm weather. Coming back we flew via Dubai, which was a great decision. Day flights instead of night flights and it split the trip in two.We visited friends Bram and Ingrid who just had their little girl Leyla. It was really nice to see them in their new home. The next day I met up with a friend I knew from Singapore, Alejandra, and we went to the Souq Madinat, a great place with shops and restaurants, very Middle Eastern looking, though with a bit of a Disney feeling. Bram and Xander went to the Wild Wadi, a water park. In the evening I went for a Marrocan hamam, a first for me. It was harsh, but I did have baby skin afterwards and I would definitely recommend it!

Like I said, being back in Holland feels good. Our pear and apple trees were ready to harvest so we were busy in the garden the first few weeks. Our container only arrived four weeks later, so we had some time on our hands.
I miss my friends and coffees in Singapore and aqua gym in the pool. But we are at the start of a new chapter now. Xander will start full time school when he turns four, and Sweder is walking and on the move big time!
